I grew up in San Diego, but left there when I married in 1961. I've lived in many places, but mainly in either California or Upstate NY where my heart still remains. My husband and I have three wonderful children of which two remain in NY and one now lives in TX. We live in a mobile home park for retired folks. Kind of makes me feel old. We stay active by swimming laps 3 mornings out of the week at 5:00 am. It's a great time of the morning to be alive.
While I'm grateful for our lovely modern grocery outlets, I find it more enjoyable to shop produce at the local Farmer's Market. We got out yesterday to do just that. What fun!
I love love love the farmers market! We have lived in several places and I am always checking out the best ones. My favorite ones here are Oceanside(Fridays), Rancho Bernardo ( also Fridays) and my favorite is Little Italy ( Saturday). I hear that the Laguna Nigel one is kind of neat too. We should meet in between for a morning at the market!
Oh yes the farmers market ... what a great place to get fresh, fresh produce ... not to mention just the all around experience. My DD goes to the one in Oceanside and says it's a good one.

ReplyDeleteSounds like an ideaa to me. I would love to go to the one in Little Italy some Saturday. We love that place. We like to eat at Filipes.
